Dogs as Therapy - Canine Club
As a part of our medium term plan RED HOUSE proposes the use of dogs as an evidence-based form of therapy. Animal assisted therapy is becoming more widely accepted and available, as the mental health benefits have been increasingly studied and proven. Mary Jane has not only reviewed an immense amount of literature supporting the use of dogs in recovery from mental illness, but she has experienced the indisputable benefits of canine companionship first hand. RED HOUSE is extremely keen to promote and study this as an invaluable form of therapy specifically for people with eating disorders. If you would be keen to be a part of this trial in the future, please submit your expression of interest. The more interest we get in each group the sooner it will be implemented so please have your say!!
